I was listening to the weather forecast on ABC radio this morning (that’s the only reason I’d listen to the ABC, honest!), and caught the tail end of the news. The newsreader was finally admitting that Climategate was an issue, but was spinning the story as: “the illegal activities of these computer hackers shows the lengths climate deniers will stoop to discredit the truth”. Ironically the weather forecast was then for an unseasonably cold and rainy week ahead :).

One interview you MUST listen to......................

2GB Radio: Alan Jones interview with Lord Mockton on the Copenhagen Summit

http://2gb.com.au/index2.php?option=com_newsmanager&task=view&id=4998

Details of the 200 page draft Copenhagen Treaty are being concealed from the people.
The science behind Global Warming has collapsed. The Treaty has been kept secret in their usual way, but discovered in a “note by the Secretariat”.
The word “Government” is explicity referred to in the Treaty, with powers for a communistic international Government –similar to the EU Commissars, but on a global scale.
This proposed World Government is designed to take over all global free markets.
The Copenhagen Treaty will take precedence over the Australian Constitution.
The is NO provision to exit the Copenhagen Treaty [draft].
Lord Monckton is urging people around the world to spread the word.

I just sent this as a letter to the Age. What do you think the odds are of it being published?

For weeks the mainstream media has refused to even cover what may be the most remarkable story of the year, if not the decade: Climategate. Now, finally, when it is being covered, it is all in the form of furious attacks and rebuttals. So just who exactly are the real climate deniers and sceptics?

Read this post on a blog this morning:

I teach at Western Illinois University, and our student newspaper "The Western Courier" had something today I've never seen in its pages: It published an editorial openly critical of global warming! It's entitled "Global Warming Theory Doesn't Hold Water." The editorialist describes herself as a "die-hard environmentalist," but she says the Climategate scandal has made her realize she has been deceived all of these years. She briefly describes the scandal, and then blames the "researchers for blinding the globe with unneeded paranoia." She now calls it "global warming, global shmarming." She adds, "I won't ditch my tree-hugging views yet, but the bottom line is that there appears to be no need for current panic. We're actually doing better than we've been led to believe."

If a liberal campus newspaper like ours is allowing editorials that openly question the whole theory of AGW, the edifice is starting to crumble. At least, I hope that's the case.

Don't give up, folks. Write letters to local newspapers. Blog. Post comments on web site articles related to global warming. Keep this story alive. With enough attention, the networks will have no choice but to cover it... although, with their arrogance and bias, that's not a guarantee. Even if they don't cover it, they don't control the agenda as much as they used to. Their lack of coverage is only damaging their already sinking credibility.

Back here, The Age is going into damage control, publishing an article today that attempts to minimize the issue. Unfortunately it protests a little too much and completely fails to account for the reactions of those implicated - eg. Phil Jones, Michael Mann, etc. It actually tries to claim more people die in wars in Africa due to global warming! Never mind that the alleged connection between CO2 and climate change is never mentioned.

You're be better off reading this 43 page report from Lord Monckton, I think.
Hi Bill
I just received this email from Senator Barnaby Joyce. I think we should pray for our Prime Minister and for our Government. Congratulations to Tony Abbott and god bless him.

"SENATOR BARNABY JOYCE

Leader of the Nationals in the Senate

4th December 2009

Dear Petition Signers

Well we did it! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. What complete insanity the Labor Government was proposing for us. Now we have Dr James Hansen, the grandfather of global warming, saying an ETS is a failure and we have to look for other alternatives.

We all played our part in this massive debate about this massive tax. Make no mistake about it. It is the pressure from you that changed the political complexion in Canberra. Now the Labor Party wants to bring the same bill back again. How is that for contempt for the Senate? Mr Rudd is so arrogant. He just does not understand the word ‘No’.

Because of Mr Rudd, unfortunately I will have to ask you to get ready to fight again. This time we can concentrate on Labor members of Parliament and Labor Senators. So find their names, find their emails and find their telephone numbers and contact them! We are in a new form of participatory democracy and maybe that is the one good thing that has come out of this ETS debate.

In the meantime, Merry Christmas. Thank you once more for your hard work and let’s get ready to go again.

Kind Regards,

Senator Barnaby Joyce"

Thank you too Bill.

Bob Hawke was asked what opposition leader Tony Abott would make just after the anouncement of Tony's win. Bob replied: "A temporary".
Tony Abott may surprise all of us with what he brings and his duration as leader and most likely next election winner. Remember those in the MSM who belittled 'Johnny' Howard.
For those who are believers (in a Creator) Tony's win is such a God thing! Amazing grace for Australia!
Thank you Bill for an excellent forum.
