You cannot pick the family you want, why should you then should we think we should be allowed to pick what we want of God... PWR is like a ice cream sundae, you pick what you want, you get what you want, minus the stuff that doesn't fit into "your" life. People want what they want, but hardly do they ever think of consequences, and when hardship comes, they are out of here. An example of this is divorce, when its not what people expected or what they want, they get out of there. Mostly "for better", and "not for worse".

PWR is confusing people, there is only one God. One truth, if there were many truths, then there wouldn't be truth. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me." He doesn't say "I am A way", he is, "THE WAY".

We either take Him at His word, or that He is a lier, or mad, and any person with common sense, knows that Jesus, did not lie, and was not mad.

The implications for believing in "a higher power" are huge for mankind, especially with the scientific community and the belief in intelligential design... so we know there is a "God" a "Higher Power"

So now its our turn to seek out truth in who He is...
members of PWR seek out truth, because you cannot pick "your perfect god", but you can find the True God.

Thanks

Thanks Les

Actually it is interesting that these two events are being held at almost the same time:
PWR Dec 3-9
UNFCCC Dec. 7-18

The PWR will be dealing with lots of green topics, including climate change.

As to Lord Christopher Monckton and climate change, it really does seem that the tide is turning, and the global warming scare is being increasingly laid to rest.

It is well worth while to listen to his interview with Alan Jones on the upcoming Copenhagen Summit. It is a very important warning about the anti-democratic push coming from the Copenhagen Treaty: http://2gb.com.au/index2.php?option=com_newsmanager&task=view&id=4998

You can listen to the full speech given last week in the US by Lord Monckton here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stij8sUybx0&feature=player_embedded

Also watch the accompanying slide show which is found here:

The "World Congress on Refractive Error", (the wrong Vision) may indeed apply to the Copenhagen meeting: if we can believe Christopher Monckton. But where, tell me where, does the truth lie????????????

Tas,
The Acts 4:12 Committee has produced just such a banner, and very attractive and colourful too.
For details go to the website:
www.pwrdeception.com
You can purchase the banner for your church for $95.

Maybe if the Melbourne churches had a sign urging people to go to PWR, where anything and everything could be believed, and critical faculties/reason could be left at home, then a few people might get the message as to what PWR was really about (the churches' sign could then go on: "<i>or you could become a Christian</i>").

Thanks Tasman

But the problem is, how many Melbourne churches still actually believe that?

It would be great if all the churches in Melbourne could put up a large sign in the weeks before the parliament and during it: "Jesus is the ONLY way to God."
