		<description>Thanks David

I agree, which is why I said he was far from perfect. However, all his children did grow up to become committed Christians, and none bore resentment against him later on. Nonetheless the family did suffer from him being fairly reclusive and so often absent, especially his wife.

It seemed more common back then for believers to rank their priorities this way: God first, ministry second, family third. Today however for the most part we seem to have corrected things a bit, and changed the order: God first, family second, ministry third.

		<description>Bill
Tozer was obviously a very spiritual man who probalby knew God better than most.
What troubles me is your statement that his wife and children never had in intimate relationship with him.
At Mass yesterday we reflected on God&#039;s teaching that man and woman become one in marriage and it concerns me that a man doesn&#039;t give the time to the people that God sent into the world tthrouhg him to bring up.
I think children are a wonderful gift from God and it is His plan that they come into the world through the union of two people who God asks to guide the nature and manner of their upbringing. We know that God&#039;s wisdom is greater than the greatest wisdom of any man so it is reasonable to assume that God&#039;s purpose in the manner of procuration of the human race has great wisdom and reason to it. For any man (or woman) to not assume the responsibility for that is to deny God&#039;s purpose. Many of us are probably guilty of that from time to time (I know I have been) but we need to emphasise the importance of the wonderful role of parenthood. For its ups and downs, its delights and disappopntments, it is truly a wonderful gift from God.

		<description>Thanks Rowland

We must be breathing similar spiritual air here. I read that biography and wrote my piece this past week, while it appears that you wrote yours the previous week. What’s that about good minds...?

		<description>Thanks Bill

Tozer was a pathfinder in many ways, but also a &#039;very human being&#039;.

I recently read the latest biography - A W Tozer in Pursuit of God - and reviewed it here: http://jmm.aaa.net.au/articles/22936.htm

Shalom!

<description>Dear Bill, You have done a great service to believers in commending the writng and teaching of A W Tozer.
Half a century ago I read his article on the &#039;the real cross and the soft one.&#039; Then his magazine, Alliance Weekly, injected his weekly editorials. I blessed the Lord for his insight and grasp of eternal truths. His passing after preaching on &#039;Christ in you the hope of glory&#039; grieved many. We need role models in the teaching of heavenly truth.
Thank you, Sir.
