		<description>In most developed countries, you need a license and special training to operate heavy machinery, to practice law or medicine, or to do many other activities where the lives of others may be in your hands.

However, you don&#039;t need a license or any qualifications whatsoever to get pregnant. Even someone with no literacy or socialization whatsoever, or moral judgment, can get pregnant. Under the right circumstances, a woman can be impregnated even while comatose! Most pregnant females are not comatose, but some of them really aren&#039;t much better. The ethics of forced sterilization (for repeat drug abusers, for example) are almost as horrific as those surrounding abortion. 

A lot of people never learn to consider the consequences of their own actions until it&#039;s too late and then, of course, they look for the quickest fix possible. How can we possibly &quot;fix&quot; that?

I certainly did notice it. Indeed, a few days ago I sent this off as a letter to a few newspapers (not sure if it ever made it in): “Pro-abortionists insist that a mother should not be forced to have an unwanted baby. Abortion is said to be the perfect answer for this. Yet when a mother whale abandons her baby whale, and the unwanted baby is euthanased, there is a huge public outcry. Am I missing something here?”

Thanks for making a connection many people obviously are not making.

Without any fixed, absolute point of reference, human nature has a way of accommodating and becoming comfortable over a period of time with a state of hell. It can gradually sleep walk into becoming hardened, desensitised to cruelty, barbarism and evil, until what was considered abnormal or deviant becomes the acceptable norm, as happened in Nazi Germany, Russia, China, Cambodia and now every singly western nation  There are many Germans today still who refuse to believe that they as a nation descended to such barbarism, just over fifty years ago.

Actually the science on this is fairly clear. As any embryology textbook will tell you, human life begins at the moment of conception. At this point we have a new, genetically unique and distinct human life.
