<description>Absolutely our universities need to be retaken.

We lost them when Christians no longer defended the truth of the Bible. The significant loss occured with geology in the early 1800s, when geology was freed from Moses. That paved the way for Darwin.

We won&#039;t take them back unless we have a logically defensible biblical worldview and that is only possible when we accept creation in six literal days about 6,000 years ago.

After all, it is the geological column that provides the alternate secular history that contradicts and discredits the Bible. Christians need to stand up and defend Genesis as history.

It would be interesting to do a poll of our most well known apologists to see which of them is prepared to defend the YEC position. It seems to me that many are embarrassed to be associated with YECs.

		<description>Bill,
in 1972 or 3, Max Charlesworth&#039;s article (Melbourne Age) on the place of the University in forming opinion, likened the University to the canary lowered down the mine in order to be pulled up after a while. If it was still alive, it was a sign that the air was not toxic. The canary being sensitive to fouled air would die quickly without good air. So too, the University is to be as sensitive and give the warning that society is under threat. Unfortunately the University in his case is Melbourne University. Its emblem is an Angel of Light. Ironically, however, it is an Angel of Death. This once great University is no longer centred in Truth and Reason. Yes, it is TIME to replace the Angel of Death with the original Angel of Light.
