Yet if you believe, as I do, that life begins at conception, then killing a 8 week old fetus is the same thing as killing a baby. In both cases a life God has created is being snuffed out. I hear arguments for abortion along the lines of the child being disabled, the child would be living in poverty, the child would wind up in foster care, there are too many people in the world anyway. All of these arguments hold for a newborn, a child, an adult. To me infanticide is the 'logical' next step, the logical consequence of the arguments people use to justify abortion. We must continue to fight for human life from conception to natural death or we will end up in a society that disposes of all the people it finds undesirable.
